This Standard specifies the design principles， technical requirements and calculation methods for concrete face rockfill dams. This Standard is applicable to the design of the concrete face rockfill dam (hereinafter referred to as CFRD) of grades 1， 2， 3 and grades of 4 and 5 with a height of above 70m in water conservancy and hydropower projects. It includes the layout of embankment and plinth， embankment materials and zoning， face slab and its water stop system， dam foundation treatment， dam calculation， flood protection during construction， stage construction and anti-seismic measures， monitoring， etc. For the design of grade 4 and 5 CFRD with a height of less than 70m， this Standard may be referred to.Special studies are needed for the design of CFRD with a height of over 200m.
