黄埔村，古称“凤浦”、“凰洲”。 自宋代以后，黄埔村长期在海外贸易中扮演着重要角色，南宋时此地已是“海舶所集之地”。清朝中后期，广州成为唯一的对外贸易口岸之时，黄埔古港更是见证了“海上丝绸之路”的繁荣。 斗转星移，百年沧桑，当昔日的辉煌逐渐消失在慢慢淤积的古港渡口，黄埔村沉默了。 今天的黄埔村已经看不到昔日黄埔港口码头的繁荣景象，但依然保持着古朴的底蕴。 一块青砖，承载着一段辉煌；一片瓦砾，掩盖着一个故事；一块石碑，铭刻着一处繁华。 Huangpu Village was traditionally called the Phoenix Ford or Phoenix Sandbar. After Song Dynasty, the village became important in overseas trade and seafarers from far and wide began to dwell the area within merely a century. After Qing Dynasty, as Guangzhou designated the only port for international trade, the ancient village became an integral part of the “Overseas Silk Road”. Time always subsides hustling into silence. No longer heard are the shouts for the hoist of canvas, no longer seen are the glimmering of silk, porcelain and gold. Yet the every stone on the ancient pavement and every tablet in the temples still echo the glory of the past.
