This code was jointly developed by Capital Engineering and Research Incorporation Limited and relevant units according to the requirements of Jian Biao [2008] No. 105 Document Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan （the Second Batch） of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2008 issued by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China （MOHURD）. " During the development of this code， the development group followed the relevant national basic construction guideline and industrial policies， conducted relevant investigation and data collection in the selected iron and steel works， summed up the experiences of design units and manufacturers of the iron and steel industry in recent years， and widely solicited the opinions of experts， scholars and designers of relevant design units， scientific research units， companies and other organizations all over the country， meanwhile9 studied and digested the latest foreign design achievements， and finalized the draft through serious study， careful analysis and several amendments. This code comprises 12 chapters and 2 appendixes with the main contents as follows： General Provisions， Terms， Basic Requirements， Furnace non-standard equipment， Steel Structure， Refractory Construction， Piping of combustion， Compressed Air and Cooling Water System， Evaporative Cooling Device9 Hydraulic and Lubrication System， Electric automation， Final acceptance test， Safety and Environmental Protection， etc. The provisions printed in bold type in this code are compulsory ones and must be enforced strictly. MOHURD is in charge of the administration of this code and the explanation of the compulsory provisions， while China Metallurgical Construction Association in charge of the routine management， and Capital Engineering and Research Incorporation Limited in charge of the explanation of specific technical contents. All relevant organizations are kindly requested to sum up experiences and accumulate data in your actual practices during the process of implementing this code.
